If you have any questions about this, contact us
Skivvy has set out some ground rules to ensure the quality of the service you will receive. Violating these rules may mean that you've broken our terms of service, which can result in termination of our relationship.
This is an email and telephonic based service. Your email address will never be sold or rented, but you may be sent emails communicating with you about your tasks as well as emails regarding special offers or new features. You can always unsubscribe from our "keeping in touch" emails.
Each Skivvy account is for the use of one single person. Accounts are not to be shared in any way. Any tasks that you request are intended for your benefit only. You cannot share this account with anybody. This means that one person cannot send in requests on behalf of multiple people. Accounts are not transferable to another user; if one person signs up, you cannot transfer ownership of that account to another person. Accounts (or tasks) cannot be resold in any way.
Skivvy’s turn-around period for a task will generally be 24 hours. If you have a task that is more time consuming, the turn-around period will be closer to 48 hours. We ask that you respect these turn-around periods, and if you feel Skivvy’s response is taking too long, please contact support.
There is no guarantee on any of the information provided by Skivvy. Skivvy works to the best of its ability to provide the greatest, most prompt, and most accurate information. However, if, by mistake, you are given information that is wrong in any way, Skivvy cannot be held liable for it, or the consequences of the mistake, in any way.
There is no free version of this service. In order to use this service, you pay for a specific package: monthly and once-off packages.
Skivvy’s monthly plans are billed through a recurring subscription. When you sign up for the monthly plan, your card will continue to be charged each month until you cancel via the website. Unused tasks from one month rollover for the next two months. This means if you are on the 5 task plan and only use 4 tasks, you'll start the next month with 6 tasks available. Tasks will expire after two months. Billing still occurs normally regardless of how many rollover tasks have been accumulated. Tasks left unused do not change the amount that will be billed each billing cycle.
Skivvy’s once-off packages are not recurring subscriptions. These are only charged for once. Tasks rollover until they are used; they never expire.
Skivvy tries to make do with only the basic information about our clients. On signing up, we save your name, number and email address to ensure we can always communicate with you. If you supply information with a task such as health insurance information, this information is saved in such a way that it's not accessible to anyone other than the assistant working on your task. We will never sell, rent or give away any of your personal information.
When a user subscribes to the service, all of the payment functionality is handled by secure servers at Virtual Card Services. At no point do we ever have access to your credit card number or any financial information. We will never ask for this information in the process of completing a task for you. If we need to do a once-off payment on your behalf, an email is sent to you asking for authorisation on the transaction. Credit card details are never given to your skivvy manually.
You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time for no penalty fee. Any unused monthly tasks will be forfeited at the end of the month that the cancellation was processed in. Once-off tasks will remain available until used and will not be forfeited. You can manage your account from your Skivvy profile page.
Refunds will not be granted. If you are unhappy with the outcome of your task, please contact support so we can sort the problem out accordingly.
Each request should be sent in on its own as a single task. If you have several tasks that need to be done, send each request in separately. Your skivvy can log tasks on your behalf, and will separate tasks if they are too long
If a second task is needed based on the first task (for example, the information we find leads you to request more research), you should copy and paste the information retrieved from the first task into a new request to begin a second task. If your skivvy's reply doesn't satisfy you, reply to the original task, specify why you are not yet pleased, and they will try again. If the request is for additional work, it should be submitted anew.
Each task is up to 20 minutes of work. Any task requested that will need to take longer to complete, additional tasks will be allocated according to the time spent up to completion. Skivvy will notify you of any overruns.
You will not be charged for tasks that Skivvy is unable to perform.
If you send in a task and Skivvy is spending too much time on it or it is beyond Skivvy’s service level, one of your task credits will be used.
If you disagree and feel that the work should have been completed, please contact us and we'll try to work it out. Skivvy does reserve the right to decide at its sole discretion if a task is outside the scope of its abilities.
Under no circumstances will Skivvy:
Skivvy cannot (and will not) accept your credit card number for use in a task. You must not send us your credit card number to be used on a task. If we make a purchase for you, you will be billed after the fact via our payment service provider, VCS. Your skivvy will never see your credit card number.
Agreeing to this terms of service page means that you understand and agree to keep your tasks within the scope of Skivvy’s ability.
Skivvy reserves the right to terminate the service of a client at any time for any reason. This is our legal right. In extremely rare circumstances, we may end our relationship with a client for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the following: 1) If the client is constantly requesting tasks outside the scope of their service plan and we're unable to find a solution by scaling back the requests, 2) If the client is abusive or rude to a Skivvy employee.
